Easey’s Burgers and Beers, Collingwood.
Burgers & Beers served five stories up in a rooftop train carriage overlooking Melbourne City.
A Fun Restaurant in Melbourne
Are you looking for a bit of fun and some great burgers as well as rather spiffing views across the suburbs towards the Dandenong Ranges?
We visited Easey’s on Father’s Day and had a good laugh as well as some fab food. My husband tackled their monster burger that would challenge even the hungriest of the hungriest. Mine was the Jackson Pollock – Pulled Jackfruit on a brioche burger bun… sounds crazy – but it was delicious, and I am not even a vegetarian.
The kids had deep fried mac and cheese balls and chips with sides that were devoured and enjoyed.
Getting to the top of the building to ‘board’ the train carriage is an event in itself – 72 steps up a relatively narrow stairwell, with every inch covered in ‘appropriate’ graffiti! Or customers can use an elevator if required – but the steps up are worth the amusement.
There is also a cafe and bar on the ground floor that is ideal for groups or those afraid of heights.
Good on the owners for creating such a novel bit of dining fun and to the staff for excellent, friendly service, scrumptious food.
